One reason for the enormous success of Daimler Protics is the expertise of the data managers and consultants who are actually on the customers' premises working on solutions on a daily basis. Another reason is the way they are managed from the Daimler Protics headquarters.
Daimler Protics GmbH has devised its own development programme for managers in a bid to develop its own top senior executives besides having the best data managers and consultants in its own ranks.
The first stage of the programme is an Assessment Centre where potential contenders for executive positions in the company are identified. Those with evidence of leadership skills take part in the development programme for senior executives.
Would-be managers are put through their paces on this 18-month programme so as to prepare them for the challenges of a managerial position, with particular emphasis on professional competence, methods and social skills. Those who complete the programme and are deemed to have managerial potential are given a certificate attesting their potential and can be taken into consideration for managerial posts if their profile fits the job description.
